Shut Down

Soooo... one of my beagles Oz tends to be a little loud when he is going out the back door. No matter what the time. I try and shush him and occasionally say the dreaded "shut up". Of course, Jo has picked up on this... just not quite right. She was letting Oz out of his crate and as he was whining, Jo kept saying "Shut Down Oz, Shut Down!" It took me a moment to get what she was trying to tell him.

Oh Grandpa, thank you so much for teaching Jozie to stick her tongue out the side of her mouth, close her eyes, and exclaim "look mom! I'm dead!". Especially as we were sitting to see a preview of the Orlando Ballet in a room full of elderly people. "I'm dead" is probably not something they want to hear.

Tattoo Time

Jozie really likes my new tattoo. She says she likes the "dancer" and her "name". So score one for mom, or so I thought. That was until she said, "Mommy, why did you get a tattoo that won't come off?". I told her how much it means to me and so I wanted it on my body forever. Her response? "Well Momma, I like my tattoos because I can put them on and then when I don't like it anymore, I can wash it off and I can put on another one!" I told her that those are the best kind.

Jozie went with her Grandparents on a luncheon playdate with a girl she was meeting for the first time. When I asked her if she had fun she said "Yes, she was nice! She was pretty, but not as pretty as I thought she would be." WHAT??? So we discussed it and it seems that this little girl was blonde, but Jozie thought she would look prettier with "our color hair". What do you say to that? I mean she thought she was pretty, just not apparently reaching her full beauty potential. Who says this at 4?
